Yucca glauca
Habitat: Dry soils and prairies.
Seasons: May - July.
Uses: Poulticed root on inflammations, used to stop bleeding. It's also used in steam baths for sprains and broken limbs. Leaf juice used to make poison arrows. It's a hair wash for dandruff and baldness.
Preparation: Poultice and a wash.
Active Chemical Ingredient: Saponin.
