Habitat: Ponds, slow waters.
Seasons: June - September.
Uses: Roots for lung ailments. Root tea for coughs, inflamed glands, mouth sores. It stops bleeding. It's poulticed root is used for swellings. Use dried roots for diarrhea and fevers. Externally as a poultice for sores, skin inflammation, and tumors.
Preparation: Tea and poultice.
Active Chemical Ingredient: Lignans.
