Solanum carolinense L.

Habitat: Sandy soils, old fields, farmlands, and waste places. 

Seasons: May - October. 

Uses: Gargled wilted leaf tea for sore throats. Poulticed for poison ivy rash. Drank tea for worms. Berries used for pain killers. 

Preparation: Tea and poultice. 

Active Chemical Ingredient: Glycoside.
